The DisplayPort to DVI Adapter enables you to connect a high definition monitor, projector, or LCD that uses a DVI(24+5) connector or cable to a MacBook, MacBook Pro, or MacBook Air with a Display Port

Input: DisplayPort Male 20pin 
Output: DVI Female (24+5) 
Connect PC with DisplayPort output resources to a HD Monitor, HDTV or any display device with DVI port. A separate DVI male to DVI male cable is needed but not included with this adapter. 
This converter can only pass signal from DisplayPort to DVI port. It is not a bi-directional cable. It wonn't pass signal from DVI port to DisplayPort.
